Back to Basics?
Recently, I read an article about the lack of information available for new scrapbookers. According
to the article, most of the information available is more focused towards the intermediate to advanced
scrapbooker. Although I initially disagreed, after thinking about it, I started to realize the author
was right. When is the last time you saw an online class on how to scrapbook? When is the last time
you saw an intro to scrapbooking class in a magazine? Most of the local scrapbook stores offer them but
scheduling may be an issue for some people.
The more I thought about it, the more I made up my mind to do something about it. That's why, over the next
few weeks, I will be adding some beginners tips. Things like a list of common items you need in your
"tool kit" and how to work with patterned paper. I will also be adding more complex things like how to
heat emboss and how to use chalk and ink on your scrapbook layouts.
