Acrylic Album sample:

Be sure to give this graphic plenty of time to load -- it is a slideshow that shows all the pages in the acrylic wedding album that I did recently. Some things to keep in mind when working with acrylic albums are:

  • Be sure to use Stayz-on ink. No other ink will stick to the pages.
  • Use lots of flowers and ribbons. Because the pages show through the other layers, this allows you to build lots of layers of gorgeous embellishments that appear to lay on top of each other. Sheer ribbons enhance the simple beauty of these books.
  • Try new things! You don't have to cover the entire page of this album with cardstock or patterned paper. Let the layers show through.
  • Add plenty of bling. The shinier the embellishments, the more they enhance the pages of these adorable albums. On some of the pages, I used clear stickers which added to the page without preventing you from seeing the next page. On the page with the white beads all around, I used Crystal Lacquer as an adhesive since it is perfectly clear and then poured the beads over it. Once the beads were set, I simply shook the loose ones off. By laying the acrylic page over a design, you could actually "draw" a design using the Crystal Lacquer and then sprinkle beads or glitter over it. Voila! Perfectly drawn design!
